When visitors enter their details in the application section or request for a course brochure, their data is collected through Jotform Ltd., who are a third party who may process your data on their own terms. You can see their privacy policy here: https://www.jotform.com/privacy/  .

When users take the Year Abroad Readiness Quiz, they are redirected to a form managed by Google UK Ltd., who are a third party and may process your data on their own terms, You can see their privacy policy here: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en-GB

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Aside from these aforementioned parties which are used for everyday function of the website, Steppe with Confidence does not explicitly share or sell any user data with third parties without explicit consent.

Comments written in the application form which do not pertain to personal information may be used anonymously for future marketing purposes (e.g. current struggles with Russian, what is going well for you in your studies).

Students who enrol on the course have the option to make use of Custom GPTs (via OpenAI Ltd., commonly known as Chat GPT), designed by Matthew Hale. These are optional pieces of homework that are encouraged to be used in order to help develop fluency and receive linguistic feedback in your own time at your own pace. Students who chose to use the Custom GPTs are subject to OpenAI’s data policy in doing so, which you can find here: https://openai.com/en-GB/policies/eu-privacy-policy/ . Steppe with Confidence will not be given access to this data.

How long do we retain your data for?

Any data you enter into the application form managed by Jotform and the Year Abroad Readiness Quiz managed by Google UK Ltd. are subject to said parties’ storage policies.

By default, Steppe with Confidence does not delete data unless explicitly requested to by the individual client. Data is used by us to refine course content, marketing strategies and provide personalised feedback both throughout and after the course.

What rights do you have over your data?

You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you, including those held by third parties. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
